Opreet Kang is a co-founding partner at Core Firm, a Vancouver-based strategic advisory firm focused on advancing sustainable, community-centred impact across organizations and sectors. She brings over 25 years of governance, financial, and executive experience, with a strong track record of guiding complex, mission-driven organizations through periods of transformation and growth.

In addition to the BC Hydro Board, Opreet is also a Director on the Vancity Credit Union Board. She previously served as Board Chair of the Fraser Health Authority, supporting one of the province's largest and most complex public service organizations.

Her experience spans infrastructure development, public sector governance, and advancing resilient, low-carbon economies. Opreet is recognized for bringing a systems-level perspective to decision-making, with a focus on long-term sustainability, fiscal responsibility, and delivering value for communities across British Columbia.
