Air conditioner eligibility requirements
- Products must be on our list of eligible air conditioners [PDF, 67 KB].
- Maximum two units per approved product, per customer transaction.
- Must be purchased at a participating retailer in BC Hydro's service territory [PDF, 173 KB].
- Portable room air conditioners must be dual-duct or single-duct with variable-speed/invertor technology.
- Window air conditioners must be ENERGY STAR®, variable speed, and with a Combined Energy Efficiency Ratio (CEER) rating of 15 or higher.

Purchase an eligible air conditioner in-store or online from a participating retailer from May 30 to August 22, 2025 and save instantly. The discount is taken off at checkout. It's not possible to apply for the discount after purchase.

- Must be purchased at a participating retailer in BC Hydro's service territory [PDF, 173 KB].
- Must be ENERGY STAR® with a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR)/watt of 4.0 or higher (smoke and dust).

- Product must be Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) WaterSense® certified.
- Must have a flow rate of 1.8 gallons per minute (GPA) or less.
- Maximum five units per approved product, per customer transaction.
- Must be purchased in-store at a participating retailer in BC Hydro's service territory [PDF, 173 KB].
