The Blind Slough Dam will be closed to all traffic from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please use an alternate route.
The Visitor Centre remains open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. We look forward to seeing you.
Take a walk through a 100-year-old powerhouse and enjoy the historical displays, electricity demonstrations and many interactive exhibits. The Powerhouse at Stave Falls has something for everyone, from individuals to families and school groups. This former generating facility is also a National Historic Site of Canada filled with archival photos, artifacts and the original mechanical and electrical components which helped power the province.
The Powerhouse at Stave Falls Visitor Centre is located on the traditional territory of the Sto:lo People and is considered the core territory of the Kwantlen First Nation.

Operational hours are subject to change without notice.
- Open weekends and most holidays during the 2026 season (closed July 1, Canada Day).
- We have a wide selection of souvenirs, refreshments, and snacks available for purchase in our gift shop.
- We welcome guide and service dogs only. All other animals are not permitted.
- Free parking is available for cars, RVs and buses while visiting us.
- Our Visitor Centre is fully wheelchair accessible.
- If you're exhibiting symptoms of illness, we ask that you visit another day.
Tour information
- School field trips and community organizations of 10 or more people must pre-book their tours.
- Drop-in visitors are welcome to guide themselves through the Visitor Centre at their own pace.
- Drop-in visitors are welcome to join a scheduled guided tour. The current schedule is below.
- Audio tour rentals are available in a variety of languages.

No reservations required. Guests must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled tour times. Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. While this is our regular schedule, we may need to cancel hours due to unforeseen issues. |

There are many other recreation areas nearby like the Stave Lake boat launch, the Stave Lake Reservoir Lodge and Campsite, the Hayward Lake Reservoir Recreation Area and the Ruskin Dam Recreation Area that you can visit while you're in the area.
