Get a 20% limited-time bonus incentive until Feb 11, 2027
Description

We're extending our 20% bonus incentive on selected equipment upgrades – lighting measures (common areas only) and variable speed drive (mechanical measures) until February 11, 2027, as part of our equipment upgrades funding offer. 

This bonus is in addition to the rebate amounts currently available. 

To be eligible, projects must be implemented by March 14, 2028. The bonus is available for both prescriptive rebates and custom pathway projects.

Don’t miss out on this limited-time opportunity to improve the efficiency and comfort of your building at a reduced cost.

Projects switching from natural gas, oil or propane to electricity are not eligible for this bonus.

The Social Housing Energy Savings Program aims to help non-profit, co-operative, and Indigenous housing providers, as well as provincial/local government housing authorities, improve the energy performance of their buildings. The program, offered in partnership with CleanBC helps to identify and implement energy retrofits for multi-unit residential social housing buildings.

Opportunity assessment funding

Get funding of up to $6,000 for a consultant to conduct a high-level assessment and identify energy saving and greenhouse gas emissions reduction opportunities for the properties you manage. Energy Managers or Asset Managers at BC Housing and BC Non-profit Housing Association can help you complete these studies.

Feasibility study funding

Get funding up to $40,000 for a consultant to conduct an in-depth analysis of specific systems, assess viability and costs in your building to prepare for a retrofit project.

Equipment upgrade funding

Get up to 75% of upgrade costs, $600,000 per site for electrical energy efficiency projects, and $400,000 per site for fuel-switching projects. You could also receive up to $400,000 for electrical system upgrades, and up to $11,000 in implementation support for whole-building energy retrofits, including heat pumps, windows, water heating and more. Choose approved measures or custom projects that meet your requirements.
