Norm Mayr is a retired KPMG Audit Partner with 38 years of public practice experience, including 18 years as the Risk Management and Business Unit Professional Practice Partner for the Greater Vancouver Area. Throughout his career, he led audits for major and multinational reporting issuers across the forestry, mining, energy, technology, real estate, retail, and industrial sectors.
A dedicated leader in professional governance, he was a founding member of the CICA Accounting Standards Board and served an eight-year term as Chair of the CPABC Investigation Committee.
He currently leverages his extensive risk and financial expertise as a Director and Audit Committee Chair of Kadestone Capital, and as Trustee and Board Chair of SIR Royalty Income Fund. Until March 2026, he also served as a Director and Audit Committee Chair of Canfor Pulp Products.
