Know those deadlines, plus a reminder to get pre-approval
Can your customers afford to miss out on our 30% bonus incentive? It applies to all self-serve projects, business energy-saving incentive (BESI) projects and custom projects submitted by February 12, 2026.
Here's what you need to know about the 30% bonus incentive.
- For self-serve incentive projects – in facilities using over 500 megawatt-hours of electricity per year – submit the projects by February 12, 2026 and complete them by March 14, 2027. Eligible technologies include compressed air systems between 40 and 300 horsepower, and/or lighting systems.
- BESI project incentives increased on July 31, 2025. The application deadline for the 30% bonus incentive is February 12, 2026, with project completion to be done by March 14, 2027.
- For custom incentive projects, the submission deadline is also February 12, 2026, and projects need to be completed by March 14, 2027.
- For multi-unit residential building applications, a 30% bonus will be applied for most end-use technologies after the application has been submitted, which will be reflected in the customer's agreement. The submission deadline is also February 12, 2026 with completion of projects by March 14, 2027.
Pre-approval is required for all programs
Alliance program manager Tanya Perewernycky wants to remind Alliance members that pre-approval for all business programs is a required step. In the interest of your relationships with customers, don't risk having quoted project costs rise.
"Missing the pre-approval step doesn't just waste time, it can also put the Alliance member in a bad light with the customer," says Perewernycky. "You don't want to tell the customer they'd get an incentive and then leave them on the hook for the cost difference."
