President & CEO

Charlotte Mitha is President and Chief Executive Officer of BC Hydro, one of North America's largest electricity utilities, serving more than five million customers across British Columbia. A professional engineer and experienced utility executive, Charlotte brings more than three decades of experience in the energy sector, with deep expertise spanning electricity generation, transmission, distribution, operations and infrastructure delivery.

Since becoming President and CEO in 2025, Charlotte has led BC Hydro during a pivotal period of growth and transformation. As demand for clean electricity accelerates, BC Hydro's focus is on expanding and modernizing British Columbia's electricity system to support economic development, industrial electrification, and the province's climate objectives. Charlotte's leadership priorities include ensuring reliable and affordable power, progressing major infrastructure investments, advancing reconciliation, strengthening system resilience in the face of climate-related challenges and securing the energy supply needed for future generations.

Charlotte holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from Royal Holloway, University of London.
