Ready to start shopping? Find products from retailers and compare based on energy efficiency, price, rebates and more.
The Power Smart Shop lists products available from retailers and gives them an energy efficient score to help you on your shopping journey. You can compare products by features, operating costs, efficiency ratings, consumer ratings, and retailer price comparisons. When you're ready, simply purchase directly from the retailer of your choice linked from the Power Smart Shop.
Coming this fall: Free smart thermostats
Starting this fall, eligible residential customers with electric baseboard heating can receive up to five free smart baseboard thermostats. You can select a thermostat model designed specifically for baseboard heating from two Canadian brands – Mysa and Sinopé. The devices ship at no cost and are enrolled in our Peak Saver program.
From time to time, during periods of high demand, we’ll adjust thermostats enrolled in Peak Saver by turning the temperature down by a degree or two, to help reduce demand on our system. You’ll then receive a $50 seasonal Peak Saver reward.

Eligibility
To qualify for the offer, you must:
- Be a BC Hydro residential customer
- Live in a home with electric baseboard heating
- Be willing to keep devices enrolled in Peak Saver
