John Nunn, P. Eng.

John Nunn is a professional engineer with over 45 years of Canadian and international experience in hydroelectric and water storage projects. His technical expertise lies in developing, managing and evaluating large construction projects. In October 2019, John was awarded the Engineers Canada Fellowship for his significant contribution in the profession of engineering, and in 2006 John was the recipient of the Community Service Award – both of these awards are from the Engineers and Geoscientists B.C.

John has a strong record of volunteer and community service, and has held director positions with the Small Talk Society for Developmental Language Disorders in Pre-School Aged Children, the Canadian Progress Club, and the Canadian Progress Charitable foundation, which supports Special Olympics Canada with funding assistance. Currently, John serves as Vice-President of the Juan De Fuca Marine Rescue Society.

John is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Chartered Engineer in the UK. He is an individual member of the Canadian Dam Association. He has a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and a M.Sc. in Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering from the University of Southampton, UK.
