Powering potential: how well do you know B.C.'s energy story?

Plug into the past and future of power in B.C. and you might win big.

British Columbia has always been a province of possibility. It's more than mountains and coastlines. B.C. is a place where innovation and energy come together to shape a better tomorrow.

From iconic moments like Expo 86 to the spirit of the 2010 Winter Games, clean electricity has powered B.C.'s evolution.

B.C.'s new Clean Power Action Plan is designed to expand access to made-in-B.C. renewable power and to ensure British Columbians can continue to depend on clean and reliable electricity.

Why is this plan so important? There are three key forces at work:

  • The population of our province, which more than doubled between 1980 and 2025, continues to grow rapidly.
  • Clean energy gives B.C. a significant advantage in growing and expanding industrial development.
  • B.C. is transitioning to cleaner energy solutions in response to climate change.

How much do you know about electricity and how it powers B.C.'s potential? As we celebrate National Electricity Month, here's your chance to find out. And while you're at it, you'll earn a chance to win a Radster Road Electric Commuter Bike made in B.C. Contest rules [PDF]
