An in-depth Forbes.com story about BC Hydro's battle to reduce electricity theft by marijuana grow-ops shows that we've already cut, in one year, about 80% of the estimated $100 million annually lost through theft. And BC Hydro has gone to the Supreme Court to try to move the Site C protest camp from in front of our downtown Vancouver office.
Late last month, local secondary students explored the John Hart Dam in Campbell River and got a hands-on experience with hydroelectric generation. Our employees spoke with the teenagers about career opportunities in fields like engineering and natural resources while highlighting the perks of working locally in your own backyard.
