About BC Hydro's Service Plan

BC Hydro's Service Plan is prepared for presentation to the B.C. Legislature under the Budget Transparency and Accountability Act. It outlines our mission, goals, strategies, and performance measures in the period from 2021/22 to 2023/24.

Where we're going

Climate change, technological advances and evolving customer energy needs continue to transform our business. While we navigate these ongoing developments, we have the important responsibility of keeping electricity rates affordable for our customers and funding necessary investments in our system to ensure British Columbians continue to receive reliable and clean electricity.

We’re implementing the outcomes from the Comprehensive Review of BC Hydro to strategically position BC Hydro for long-term success, while meeting the Government of B.C.'s climate goals and keeping rates affordable for British Columbians.

To help advance the province's CleanBC climate and economic development objectives, we’re encouraging our customers to use our clean and reliable electricity to power their homes, vehicles and businesses in order to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. We’re also advancing affordability initiatives to help our customers save money on their electricity bills and continuing to focus on making it easier for our customers to do business with us.
