Business Practices Updated

Posted on October 21, 12:00 p.m.

Further to the bulletin posted on September 26, 2024 soliciting feedback from customers, BC Hydro Transmission Provider (BCHA) received comments from Powerex and BC Power Supply (BCPS) regarding BCHA’s approach to errors in TSR processing.

BCHA appreciates BCPS’s detailed comments, and acknowledges that should an error occur, remediation should be determined on a case-by-case basis; taking into account the unique circumstances of each case, including but not limited to Transmission Paths, TSR Increments, and Start Times. BCHA also agrees that while the concept of “returning the queue back to the state that was last established” is ideal, practicability and feasibility needs to be considered in determining the course of remediation, if any.

BCHA has adopted the above concepts, and the following business practices have been revised and will be implemented immediately:

Processing of Short-Term Point-to-Point Transmission Service Requests (Section 5.0)

Processing of Long-Term Point-to-Point Transmission Service Requests (Section 8.0)

Business Practices Updated
