Technical Difficulties Resolved

BCTC is pleased to announce that the technical difficulties surrounding the ATC, TTC and pricing issue have been resolved. The system is now accepting requests for transmission purchases. An investigation into the cause of the problem is underway.


Technical Difficulties

BCTC is currently experiencing technical difficulties with the posting of ATC, TTC and the prices for short-term transmission to OASIS. As a result, the system is currently down and requests for transmission cannot be processed at this time. The issue is currently under investigation and will be resolved as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Business Practices Posted for Review and Comment

BCTC is posting for customer review and comment the following Business Practices:

  1. Attestation of New Network Resources [PDF, 66 KB] and Attestation Form [PDF, 7 KB]
  2. Performance Metrics and Penalties – Study for Transmission Service Requests [PDF, 102 KB]
  3. LT PTP Service Request – Extension for Commencement of Service [PDF, 66 KB]
  4. Becoming a BC Transmission Corporation Customer [PDF, 169 KB]

If comments received require a consultation session or workshop, one will be scheduled. Otherwise, BCTC will finalize the Business Practices and post to its website on April 1, 2010.

NE Economic Test Results – January 27 and 28

New Short-Term Rate Design Effective January 14, 2010 – REMINDER

BCTC is pleased to confirm that it will be implementing its new Short-Term Point-to-Point Rate Design and pricing effective January 14, 2010. Please refer to the bulletin posted December 11, 2009 at 5:47 p.m. for details.


TTC De-rate on US-BC Intertie Not Anticipated – UPDATE

Further to the November 23, 2009, bulletin entitled "TTC De-rate on US-BC Intertie", as a result of further analysis of reliability requirements BCTC does not anticipate restricting the US-BC Intertie (import path) for system reliability purposes during the Olympic time period from February 11-28, inclusive. BCTC anticipates normal transmission scheduling operations for the Olympic period. In the normal course, TTC is evaluated on an hourly basis in order to determine the precise TTC value for the next scheduling hour.
