Our residential customers have diverse and evolving electricity needs, and we're working to update our rate structures to reflect that. In June 2024, we started offering optional time-of-day pricing.
We've applied for updates to our residential rates
On June 27, 2024, we submitted a rate application to the B.C. Utilities Commission (BCUC) for updates to our residential service rates, net metering service rate, non-integrated area rates and the Electric Tariff Terms and Conditions.

About our engagement process
Over the past year, we've engaged with over 3,500 residential customers and stakeholders through surveys, workshops, and in-depth interviews to understand their needs and preferences with how they're charged for electricity use.

Share your input with the BCUC
Any changes to our residential electricity rates are subject to approval by the BCUC, which will undertake an open and transparent review process.
Now's your time to share feedback with the BCUC as they consider our rate proposal. This can be done by submitting "letters of comment".

The regulatory review process is expected to conclude in spring 2025. Additional details on the timeline for the BCUC process will be available on the BCUC's website.
