***Q4, F13 – Category ‘Other’ is redefined as ‘Conflict’ which captures requests that do not fall into the other three definitions”.

Workplace complaints are handled in the following sequence and proceed to the next level only if resolution is not achieved:

Consulting – An employee consults with a Respectful Workplace Coordinator, and receives support and coaching.

Informally – A Respectful Workplace Coordinator mediates or facilitates resolution between the parties.

Formally – A Review Officer conducts a formal investigation and reports findings to the Chief Human Resources Officer and the Vice-President of the respondent's operational unit. Complaints are elevated to a formal process only when the severity of the issue warrants that BC Hydro respond accordingly.
