Statement: Fiscal 2020-2021 Revenue Requirements Application decision
The BC Utilities Commission has released its decision on BC Hydro’s fiscal 2020 to fiscal 2021 Revenue Requirement Application, which was filed in 2019. The Commission approved BC Hydro’s requested rate increase of 1.76 per cent for the fiscal year starting April 1, 2019 as well as the request to reduce the Deferral Account Rate Rider to 0 per cent.
BC Hydro had requested a rate decrease of 1.01% for fiscal 2021. The Commission has ordered some adjustments that will result in a revised rate decrease for this year. BC Hydro is calculating the exact impact of the Commission’s adjustments and will file that information with the Commission later this year.
