SAIDI is the average interruption in hours per customer served. Normalized SAIDI, excluding major events, is worse than Plan due to longer-than-planned outage restoration time. Tansmission and substation outages, trees and tree branches falling on power lines, equipment failure and adverse weather are the leading causes of unfavourable SAIDI performance.
