Program notices

PDF applications:

As of March 21, 2025, we're no longer accepting PDF or paper applications submitted by mail, fax, or email. All self-generation applications must be submitted online through MyHydro. If you have questions about applying online or need assistance with your online application, please email us.

Tesla products are not eligible:

The Government of B.C. and BC Hydro are taking action to preference Canadian goods in our rebate programs going forward and to exclude, where practicable, U.S. produced goods. As of March 12, 2025, Tesla products are not eligible for BC Hydro rebates. If you submitted a self-generation application for a Tesla product before March 12, 2025, it can still qualify for rebates and will be processed as normal. View product FAQs.

Program updates: Rebates for social housing, multi-family residential buildings, businesses, remote communities and Indigenous communities

As of May 13, 2025, rebate amounts for multiple offers are changing.

Our offer for Indigenous communities remains paused, as it reached its funding limit in December 2024.

Refer to each offer page for more information. If you have any questions, please email us.

As a trusted installer it’s important to understand the self-generation approval process and how your customers can apply for solar and battery energy storage rebates.
