Vasee Navaratnam serves as the Senior Vice President, Global Mining Operations for Fluor, a major engineering construction company with a global reach. He’s a civil engineer with over 40 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry.

Since joining Fluor in 1987, Vasee has held a variety of management positions. He was Fluor’s general manager in Vancouver for several years before taking on more global responsibilities as Senior Vice-President, Global Mining Operations. He has big project expertise, including a $7 billion project in Peru, and strong analytical skills with a safety-first priority.

Prior to joining Fluor, Vasee worked in a remote mine site in the Northwest Territories of Canada as a project engineer, and was responsible for the execution of capital projects. Other post graduate work experience includes site engineering work for construction companies in the United Kingdom and Toronto, Ontario.

Vasee holds an Executive MBA from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, and a B.Sc. Honors in Civil Engineering from Middlesex University in the United Kingdom.
