First Nations information session on the draft RFP and specimen EPA
BC Hydro is planning to acquire new clean or renewable energy resources through a competitive acquisition process. Since June, 2023 we've been engaging with First Nations, independent power producers and stakeholders on our planned approach to the call. We have now posted the draft RFP and a draft specimen EPA on our Call for Power website along with a form to capture your feedback. We will be accepting feedback until end of day January 22.
We're hosting a First Nations-only virtual information session next Tuesday, January 16, to hear from Nations on the draft RFP and answer questions, particularly on the components of the First Nations economic participation model, including the revised values of the First Nation Benefit Adjuster, the definition of equity, the equity holding period and the penalties for default.
We look forward to seeing you there.
