Get recommendations to improve energy efficiency at your business

If you own or manage a small or medium business, a regional Business Energy Advisor (BEA) can help you learn how to reduce your energy consumption and save you money.

This benefits businesses that don’t have the time or people-power to research and implement energy-efficiency upgrades, because those changes can make a big difference in your bottom line.

The offer

Get a free consultation at your facility from a Business Energy Advisor. They’ll identify energy-saving opportunities, provide you with a report of your current technologies and the new, energy-efficient replacement options, and give you advice about next steps and financial incentives that you may qualify for.

How it works

  1. Request a consultation.
  2. The regional BEA will visit your business to assess your current equipment and your annual electricity consumption. This assessment could be done virtually if preferred.
  3. Your BEA will assess your load factor, demand and power factor, and introduce you to free online energy management resources for businesses, like MyHydro.
  4. Next, your BEA will identify energy- and money-saving opportunities and incentives we offer that may be a good fit for you.
  5. If you want to proceed with an upgrade, your BEA will connect you with a BC Hydro-approved contractor to help you plan and implement the project.
