Ways to Pay

Check out all the easy ways to pay your BC Hydro bill. We know that in today's busy world, convenience is key.

1. Pre-authorized Payment

Take advantage of this option, either in combination with monthly equal payments or alone. With pre-authorized payments, you pay by automatic withdrawal from your bank account. Find out more about pre-authorized payment and download the enrollment form.

For added convenience, access your account and bill online.

2. Financial Institutions

Pay your bill at automated teller machines, over the Internet or in person at your financial institution.

For your convenience, we've compiled a list of financial institutions that offer online banking services including bill payment, so you can pay your bill over the Internet.

3. Pay-by-Phone

Many financial institutions allow you to pay your bills by phone. Check out what your financial institution offers.

4. Credit Card

Another way to pay your BC Hydro bill is through Kubra, a bill payment service. You can use this option to make a one-time payment on your credit card (Visa or MasterCard).

Kubra charges a service fee based on the amount of your payment. Go to the Kubra website to find out more.

5. Mail

6. Government Agents

Outside the Lower Mainland, you can pay using cash, cheque, or debit card, with no service fee, at the Government Agents of B.C.

Billing Options

1. Monthly Equal Payment

You can be billed in monthly, equal amounts based on an estimate of consumption for a 12-month period. Each year the actual consumption is compared to the billed amounts and an adjustment is made.

You can combine Monthly Equal Payment with our Pre-authorized Payment plan.

2. Online Billing

It's easy to access your BC Hydro bill through your account online. You can view consumption, billing and payment histories. Choose the Go Paperless option to help save trees, create less waste and save energy.

Can't pay right now?
If you can't pay the amount owing before the bill is due, please call us as soon as possible. If we haven't heard from you by the Pay By date, BC Hydro will charge a small fee, and a security deposit may be required.
