Alliance referrals

How customers get support from experts

Alliance of Energy Professionals members, part of a network of energy efficiency trade professionals registered with BC Hydro, help business customers identify opportunities to save energy, install energy-efficient products or electric vehicle charging station infrastructures, as well as look for incentive opportunities through BC Hydro.

If you're considering an upgrade or installation, the Alliance can help you get started. You can request a referral for a particular job and we'll search the Alliance database to find which member firms are eligible to handle the project.

If you're a customer with an existing relationship with an Alliance member, we won't make additional referrals unless you ask for them.

How to make a referral

After completing the online referral form, you'll be referred to two suitable Alliance members. You will choose who you want to work with.

BC Hydro doesn't endorse or recommend specific contractors, consultants or products, but by working with an Alliance member, you're assured they've met a list of qualifications.

Working with Alliance members

We've formed the Alliance to ensure you, as a customer, are getting expert, dependable advice on energy efficiency upgrades, or are familiar with EV charging stations. But the decisions on products and upgrades, and adherence to all codes and permits, are your responsibility.

By using an Alliance member, you acknowledge and agree that any decisions on upgrades, services performed, or products provided are yours. BC Hydro assumes no liability or responsibility for products installed or the operation of installations performed by Alliance member.

Please also ensure that installations meet your requirements, manufacturer's instructions and all applicable codes, permits, standards and regulations. That's your responsibility.
