Power Smart kiosks at Sears offer energy-saving advice, instant savings

BC Hydro Power Smart is supporting Sears Canada's "Live Green" initiative, which includes promotion of ENERGY STAR appliances and a handy calculator that helps customers determine potential savings – in energy, dollars and CO2 emissions – associated with efficient appliances.

As part of BC Hydro's support, Power Smart is setting up kiosks in six Sears stores in the Lower Mainland, one in Victoria and one in Nanaimo starting May 28, 2010. The kiosks will offer instant rebates on energy efficient products and will also showcase the Sears Cost and Carbon Savings Calculator.

Sears is also offering limited time specials on appliances. And if you purchase an ENERGY STAR clothes washer, refrigerator, dishwasher or freezer, check to see if it also qualifies for our Power Smart Rebates of up to $50 for select ENERGY STAR models.
