Look for the ENERGY STAR label on electronics – it identifies the most energy efficient appliances.

ENERGY STAR TVs labelled with 'Save More Energy' messaging:

  • Use between 40% and 45% less energy than standard units;
  • Save energy in both the on and off modes by reducing standby power;
  • Are rated to consume 1 watt or less when switched off;
