Atlin RFEI

The Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) for a long-term Energy Purchase Agreement to supply power to Atlin is now closed. Independent Power Producers (IPPs) were invited to apply in May 2005, to supply a peak energy load of 1.3 MW immediately with potential to increase to 2.0 MW within 10 years.

Capacity and Associated Energy RFEI

The Capacity Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) closed in November 2004. BC Hydro was seeking expressions of interest and project information from the private sector for projects and opportunities that could provide new dependable capacity or reduce capacity demands on BC Hydro’s system.

BC Hydro is currently examining options in the Fort Nelson area to meet the anticipated need for new energy and capacity. The Fort Nelson RFEOI closed on October 19, 2007.
