We're collecting stories about renovations good and bad

Home renovations have been all the rage for years, and they haven't let up much during the COVID-19 pandemic. When you're spending more time in your home, you tend to want to make it more livable.

But when it comes to renos, the best laid plans of homeowners – especially the do-it-yourself variety – don't always go as planned. That can make for expensive mistakes, given that the average cost of home renos in B.C. is more than $150 per square foot. So we're gathering stories from Team Power Smart members to help with an upcoming story and report we're doing on the mixed success of home renovations.

We'd love to hear from you. All we need is a brief description of the type of reno you did, whether it included any energy-saving upgrades, etc. We'll gather the stories and then follow up the more intriguing stories by getting details through a phone interview. It's meant to be fun, and it could be helpful, too.
