BC Hydro Request for Expressions of Interest Independent Power Project, Atlin, B.C.
The Request for Expressions of Interest (RFEI) for a long-term Energy Purchase Agreement to supply power to Atlin is now closed. Independent Power Producers (IPPs) were invited to apply in May 2005, to supply a peak energy load of 1.3 MW immediately with potential to increase to 2.0 MW within ten years.
BC Hydro selected the single proponent submission received from Taku Land Corporation and is currently in negotiations for an Energy Purchase Agreement with a targeted in-service date of October 2007.
