2008 LTAP: Resource Options Update
For the 2008 LTAP, a targeted update to the 2005 Resource Options Report (filed as Appendix F in the 2006 IEP) has been undertaken for certain resource options where the data has changed significantly. The scope of the Resource Options Update work generally focused on updating cost, technology and potential. Options targeted for updating included those that were commercially proven and affected by the provincial government's BC Energy Plan policies, the latest BCUC Decision on the 2006 IEP/LTAP [PDF, 1.13 Mb], or increases in capital and construction costs.
A three-stage engagement approach has been used to update the resource option information.
- Stage 1 – Determine Scope: Initial sessions were held to determine the scope.
- Stage 2 – Update Resources: One-on-one discussions and meetings were held for specific resource streams.
- Stage 3 – Report Results: Final session was held to present the results.
