The electricity we produce travels a long way before it gets to our customers. It is generated in our facilities then transported across the province in bulk via the big steel towers of the transmission network. The high-voltage electricity then flows through our substations and distribution transformers to step the electricity down to a safe and usable voltage level. From there, our 55,254 kilometres worth of distribution lines carry the electricity through our meters to our customers to power homes and businesses.
