2008 Annual Report: Reporting on triple bottom line performance

BC Hydro's purpose is to provide reliable power, at low cost, for generations. To demonstrate this commitment, we have integrated both the Annual and Triple Bottom Line reports into one comprehensive document that provides the public and our shareholder with information on our economic performance, and environmental and social performance. Reporting on the three bottom lines also allows us to benchmark our performance with other organizations to ensure we continue to remain in the forefront as a sustainability leader.

We invite you to read the report and we welcome your feedback on the content. This report is produced for web-access only. Please feel free to download a copy from the website. No print copies are available in an effort to reduce the costs associated with reporting.

BC Hydro/GRI Comparative Index

BC Hydro aligns its performance indicators, where possible, to the internationally recognized sustainability reporting guidelines developed through the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). To evaluate how well we are performing in comparison to GRI, we developed an alignment index scorecard. Each performance measure on the index provides a link to the detailed information pertaining to that measure and an alignment code showing how well the measure compares to the most applicable GRI measure.
