Susan Yurkovich
Senior Vice-President, Corporate Affairs
Susan Yurkovich was appointed Senior Vice-President, Corporate Affairs of BC Hydro on June 1, 2006. Prior to joining BC Hydro, she spent 10 years at Canfor Corporation, Canada's largest lumber producer, where she was Vice-President, Corporate Affairs.
Ms. Yurkovich joined Canfor after spending several years in Ottawa working as an advisor to the Federal Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development and the Minister of National Defense.
Born and raised in British Columbia, Ms. Yurkovich holds both a Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia and a Diploma in International Business from Erasmus University, Netherlands.
She is currently a Governor of the University of British Columbia, Director of the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, Director of the Pharmasave National Board and member of the Business Laureates of BC Hall of Fame Cabinet.
