As managing director of Busby Perkins+Will, Busby is involved in the design and sustainable direction of each project the firm engages, including the largest portfolio of built green projects in North America.
Overseeing design offices in Vancouver and Seattle, Busby directs more than 100 employees working on projects for a firm recognized internationally as a leader in sustainable building design.
Busby is a founder and recent chair of the Canada Green Building Council, and he has devoted much of his time to his profession, to the community, and to the advancement of sustainable education and practices. He became a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada in 1997, and in 2005 was invested as a member of the Governor General's Order of Canada.
Busby joined the BC Hydro Board in 2008, where he brings his sustainability and energy-efficiency expertise to conservation and environmental issues facing the corporation.
