Nancy Olewiler is a Professor of Economics and Director of the Graduate Public Policy Program at Simon Fraser University. Her research in recent years has examined natural capital and the economy and environmental policy. She has published academic papers, texts and policy studies in the areas of taxation, natural resources and environmental economics, and public finance.

Olewiler was a member of the Federal Technical Committee on Business Taxation. She is a Director of TransLink.

Olewiler has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Barnard College, Columbia University, a Master of Arts from Simon Fraser University, and a PhD from the University of British Columbia, all in Economics.
