Mr. Brown has served as a member of Canaccord's investment banking team since joining the firm in 1997. He has extensive experience in equity financing and fiscal advisory for emerging growth companies. In June of 2006, he assumed the role as Head of Investment Banking for Canaccord Adams in the United States. He now holds the role of President overseeing operations in Boston, New York, San Francisco and Houston. Mr. Brown leads a team of 160 capital market professionals with coordinated effort between equity research, institutional sales and trading and investment banking for growth companies in the areas of sustainability, energy, technology and life sciences. He is based in Boston and maintains an office in New York.
Mr. Brown is a graduate with distinction of McGill University (B.A.), is a Chartered Business Valuater (a member of The Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuaters), serves on the National Advisory Committee for the Toronto Stock Exchange Group and is a Director of Canaccord Adams Inc.
Mr. Brown will serve a two-year term on BC Hydro’s Board, until June 5, 2010.
