About BC Hydro's Annual Service Plan Report

Our mission is to provide our customers with reliable, affordable, clean electricity throughout B.C., safely. The 2016/17 Annual Service Plan Report is a reflection of BC Hydro's Service Plan [PDF, 838 KB] and the 2016/17 Government Mandate Letter [PDF 1.1 MB].

The change in title from Annual Report to Annual Service Plan Report is due to the scope of the report changing to reflect a focus on our performance against our Service Plan and the government's Taxpayer Accountability Principles. This report replaces previous annual reports that you may be familiar with, that also incorporated our company priorities and business plans.

It contains three key components: our strategic context, our performance against our Service Plan measures and the audited Financial Results and Management Discussion and Analysis. It looks back at the year taking into account how BC Hydro has performed against the Taxpayer Accountability Principles.

2016/17 Annual Service Plan Report

BC Hydro’s 2016/17 Annual Service Plan Report shows that domestic energy sales volumes were within 0.1 per cent of our forecast, regulatory account balances were reduced by $311 million and trade income for the year was $15 million higher than planned.
