BC Hydro is proud to help power our communities. Our Community Outreach team may be in action at an event near you.

Community festivals and events

We are committed to sustainability for generations and to support the communities we serve. Our Outreach team travels to events around the province to show people just how simple it is to save energy and money at home. We bring interactive activities that are fun for the whole family.

Retail workshops

We partner with a variety of retailers to host in-store events. These events provide information on energy and money saving opportunities and energy-efficient products available at the store.

Workplace engagement

Outreach representatives facilitate information sessions to commercial and industrial customers focused on how the employees can save energy at work. We support businesses across the province in their efforts to green their workplace.

Residential events

Homeowners in B.C. planning for a new home or making renovations to their existing home are in a great position to benefit from smart energy conservation. Look for Community Outreach teams at home shows and learn about the opportunities and rebates available to you.

Youth engagement

Getting the next generation excited about saving energy is one of our most important jobs. We visit libraries, day camps, and community centres throughout British Columbia to engage youth about how they can conserve at home.
