Aging turbines need to be replaced

GM Shrum Generating Station (GMS) provides some 12 per cent of the electricity produced in B.C. each year. But the 40-year-old turbines aren’t what they used to be. Replacing them with new, more efficient units will dramatically increase the amount of electricity GMS can produce.

Additional upgrades of old equipment will further improve the reliability of the clean energy being generated at GMS.
