Surrey Langley SkyTrain
We're working closely with the Surrey Langley SkyTrain Project team to accommodate the extension of SkyTrain into Langley by making modifications to some of our existing power lines and structures along Fraser Highway between 140th Street and 203rd Street.
This project will ensure that the lines continue to provide safe and reliable power to residents and businesses in the Lower Mainland and allow for the safe construction of the SkyTrain around the power lines.
What's new
May 2024
Now through May, our duct bank excavation work is taking place on Fraser Highway between 150 Street towards 156 Street and 160 Street towards 164 Street in Surrey.
Through June, we're working on our existing infrastructure and the installation of new utility poles along Fraser Highway, between 150 Street and 170 Street in Surrey.
This work requires temporary traffic pattern changes. Please adhere to traffic management control on site.
Please note that access from/to Fraser Highway may be restricted. Crews will provide alternative access.
We're working with the SkyTrain Project team to prepare for the SkyTrain extension into Langley by adjusting some of our existing power lines and structures along Fraser Highway between 140th Street and 203rd Street. Our work will include vegetation clearing and relocating our poles and power lines to align with the SkyTrain extension. As part of this work, distribution power lines and poles will move from the north side of Fraser Highway to the south side.
This work will ensure our infrastructure continues to provide safe and reliable power to residents and businesses and allow for the safe construction of the SkyTrain around the existing power lines.
We'll work on our existing power lines and structures along Fraser Highway between 140th Street and 203rd Street.
