How do I cancel my service?
Cancel your service online
If you're moving and no longer require electricity service, we need at least 24 hours' notice to close your account. If you already have a MyHydro Profile, use MyHydro to cancel your service online.
If you don't have a MyHydro Profile, you'll need to create one first and link your account before you can cancel your account online.
Business customer? Use our online forms to cancel service to your business or close multiple accounts.
To temporarily suspend your power, please contact BC Hydro Customer Service at 1 800 BCHYDRO (1 800 224 9376). Some of our busiest call times are Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and noon, and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. You may have a shorter wait time if you give us a call outside of these times.
