How do I apply for an electrical connection?
- A new connection at a location not yet connected to BC Hydro
- Make changes to an existing connection
- Reconnect a disconnected service
- Temporarily or permanently remove a connection
For construction or renovation connections, the standard charge for a 200-amp connection is $838 for overhead and $1,270 for underground. If additional infrastructure is required, you may also pay an extension fee.
If you have a MyHydro Profile, log in and select Start connection request from the MyHydro drop-down menu. If you don’t have a MyHydro Profile, you'll need to create one to apply for connection services online.
