Dawson Creek energy efficiency financing pilot
Program aims to provide loans to residents for upgrades
To encourage local residents to implement energy efficiency measures in their homes, the City of Dawson Creek is working on a pilot program to help finance their improvements.
Called the "Energy Efficiency Local Improvement Charge Financing program," it would provide loans or loan guarantees that residents could repay through property taxes. Following council approval, the city will seek approval from the Ministry of Community and Rural Development to proceed with the pilot.
