Improve your community's energy efficiency
A Community Energy and Emissions Plan [PDF, 95 KB] is a comprehensive, long-term plan to improve energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and foster local green energy solutions in your community.
The Plan is designed to help you:
- Identify energy goals and objectives for your community.
- Assess current your energy policies.
- Forecast your community's energy demand and supply.
- Identify solutions and supporting policy options.
The Plan delivers recommendations for energy solutions and supporting policies to integrate into your official communityplan and other key corporate strategies.
We'll provide 50% funding (up to $60,000) towards the creation of your Community Energy Efficiency Plan that includes electricity reduction strategies for communities with a population of over 75,000.
An energy efficiency plan for smaller communities
For communities with population of under 75,000, we offer the CEEP: QuickStart to help you with developing and implementing a Community Energy and Emissions Plan.
