Networking is one of the big opportunities at the 2017 LINK Conference in Vancouver. Alliance of Energy Professionals members also get a chance to chat with members of BC Hydro's Alliance team.

Meet the Alliance team, take Dale Carnegie training, and connect

"You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you."

– Dale Carnegie, American writer and professional leadership trainer

What do you have planned for November 1-2, 2017? You might consider filling that spot in your calendar with the 2017 LINK Conference at Vancouver's Marriott Pinnacle hotel.

The conference will give you a chance to not only meet the Alliance team face-to-face. It will be all about networking with the electrical industry including engineers, contractors, manufacturers, distributors and agents and utilities.

"The 2016 LINK conference was a great opportunity to hear firsthand what the latest trends and common themes are in the industry as well as connecting with colleagues new and old," says BC Hydro's Tanya Perewernycky. "And we're looking forward to attending the conference again this year, answering questions, and helping Alliance members determine the role our programs can play with their yearly planning."

This year's conference includes a Dale Carnegie training session, highlighted by Paul Sinkevich's talk on Discovering Your Leadership Style. Also on the list of speakers in 2017 is Riaz Meghji, host of CityTV's Breakfast Television, speaking on how Every Conservation Counts.

What's new for 2017?

The roots of the BC Electrical Association (BCEA) go back to the 1920's. Today's BCEA is comprised of more than 145 corporate members and is serving the electrical industry throughout B.C. This year's conference will provide a high quality opportunity for Alliance members to meet with key stakeholders and decision makers across all aspects of the electrical industry.

"The 2017 LINK conference is a great opportunity to discuss industry segment plans, target account planning, marketing initiatives, product development and announcements, or meet with potential new partners and customers," says Barbette Igonia, President of the BC Electrical Association.
