We support community initiatives that focus on public safety. At the top of our list is electricity safety. We also support programs that promote water safety and emergency preparedness.

Before starting your application

You must read the full eligibility criteria before starting your application. This will give you the best chance of success. Applications are only accepted during stated open call periods.

Now that you have selected your focus area, please follow steps 2 and 3 to start your application.

Step 2 – Ensure your program is eligible for funding

You will be able to choose your grant after reading the eligibility guidelines.

Available Grants

Our two grants are designed to help non-profit organizations and registered charities strengthen B.C. communities in the areas of building the workforce of tomorrow, safety education, and smart energy ideas.

Broad Impact Grants

  • Grant funding up to $10,000.
  • Next application intake is February 1 to March 30, 2018.

Supports organizations that wish to expand an existing program's reach or to deliver a new program across multiple communities in B.C.

The organization or program must:

  • Use grant funding to support a specific program or initiative that's sustainable and has a significant impact, or for new program delivery into multiple communities.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide measurable outcomes of the initiative's success.
  • Submit stories and photos of the project during or upon completion.

Grassroots Grants

  • Grant funding up to $2,000.
  • Next application intake is February 1 to March 30, 2018.

Supports local community-based programs and initiatives in B.C.

The organization or program must:

  • Use grant funding to support a specific local program or initiative.
  • Build community and strengthen connections.
