Once you have chosen a contractor and determined your product requirements, you are ready to apply for the Power Smart Product Incentive Program.

You'll need to have the following information ready:

  • BC Hydro account number(s) and postal code(s) of the facility(s) that you plan to retrofit.
  • Information about your preferred installer.
  • Quantity and type of product(s) you will be replacing.
  • Where in the facility the installation will occur. E.g., SW section of 2nd floor.
  • List of energy-efficient product(s) that you will be installing.

Important:

  • BC Hydro will review your application and provide a response via email within 5 business days.
  • Do not purchase or install your products until you have received an email approval from BC Hydro.
  • Incentives will only be paid on approved products. For a complete list, refer to BC Hydro's e.Catalog.
  • To ensure that all required products are accurately reflected on your application, have your Alliance contractor or participating distributor fill in your product requirements for you.
