Buy an ENERGY STAR labelled television and save. Only products delivering the highest level of energy efficiency are awarded the ENERGY STAR logo. Look for the Power Smart 'Save More Energy' label when shopping for a TV. It's your assurance that the TV is Power Smart.

Energy-efficient TVs save energy, save money

Power Smart in-store label Televisions identified with "Save More Energy" messaging use between 40% and 45% less energy than a standard television. If every TV sold in British Columbia was a 'Save More Energy' television, we would save about $2 million in energy costs each year.

Look for the ENERGY STAR label on electronics – it identifies the most energy efficient appliances.

Use between 40% and 45% less energy than standard units;

Are rated to consume 1 watt or less when switched off;
