South Peace Arm Surveys

Objective

To determine the winter abundance, distribution, and habitat use of caribou on the south side of the Peace Arm.

Study area

Select mountain ranges on the south side of the Peace Arm, Williston Reservoir.

Methods

Reconnaissance-inventory and total-count surveys of select alpine and sub-alpine areas were conducted by helicopter. All animals observed were counted and classified.
