A Policy Committee composed of a senior vice president from BC Hydro and the deputy minister of the provincial fish and wildlife agencies sets overall policy for the program.

Reporting to the Policy Committee is a four-member Steering Committee which sets overall program direction. It is composed of two people from BC Hydro and two from the provincial government.

Working under the direction of the Steering Committee are two Technical Committees, one for fish and one for wildlife. The fish and wildlife committees ensure that projects undertaken by the program are biologically sound and meet the program's strategic objectives. The annual activities for the individual fish and wildlife programs that are delivered by staff are examined and approved by their respective Technical Committee.
